I’m sorry that there has been less updates on this blog recently. The team are busy traveling for projects. Some of us are having a lot of fun with teens and kids, some of us are delving deeper into the fashion of hair.
There have been a lot of happenings lately, the melamine in Sanlu milk and food safety concern, the surge of buzz about bandit phones and other products, the global economic depression… China Youthology are keen in observing and researching these phenomenon and influence on youth as always, and I hope we’ll have time to pull together the findings and share with the readers of the blog soon.
Zafka is just back from his show in eARTS festival in Shanghai, and the observation there has triggered him to contemplate on the creative industry in China. We can expect a post from him soon.
Lisa is invited to speak on the 4th China Blogger Conference, or cnbloggercon, on Nov 15th-16th in Guangzhou. She’s going to share with us the ‘micro trends’ found in Chinese creative youth in a recent study, for example ‘as beautiful as teeth-brushing’ and ‘as intelligent as kids’, and the role of cyberspace in trend setting and spreading. Zafka will participate in a panel discussion about IP rights and distribution of creative content on behalf of Creative Commons Mainland China. Maybe I’ll see you on the conference. ![]()
